About me

novice blogger, password forgetter, curious matron, that’s it for me.

about my blog – iOpeners are wonderful little things you find you can do with a Mac with the built in OS X and iLife goodies, and even iWork which you pay for, but is cool anyway. I’ve been a Mac user since the moment they put hard drives into those little gray boxes. But i have to admit, I’ve paid little attention to the cool things you can to do to be more efficient and oh yea, cool. I try to make myself go for my Apple lesson every week, and I learn something every time – my eyes are opened….get it? iOpener… eyes more opener. Get it?

in between some of the gems folks have sent me that make me laugh, make me go awwww, make me to –what the heck!

if you have some, share them too!

  1. howzit joan! good to see your blog! how about a gallery of your pictures and some photo tips?!?!

    • Hi Rand! My photo taking tips could fit into a pin head but Milton often sends some good ones and will pass on 8-) Those poor Flickr pictures are my workshop samples, must add some new ones – they are aren’t great but sure do love my D60 – it’s so automatic! Bought Glenn the new p90 Nikon point and shoot – 24x optical zoom and 15 fps burst. Had to hit up the girls to chip in, but shhhhh, secret 8-)

  2. Good job JoanMats!!! See there are new layouts/templates. I’ve been busy with my Google renovation site, so have kinda’ let the WordPress one go. You inspire me to carry fwd. The trick seems to be–up looking at Matt’s site–to have a very short tickler post that leads to text and/or photos, etc. When I get out from under, I will sit w/you :)

    • Thanks Kate! I want to see your Google site when you’re done. I tried iGoogle but that was a taste instead of a real try. Milton sent an article about Google getting too hoggy 8-). Yea the tickler approach is something I went back and forth on – i hate clicking, but I don’t think folks read everything – i think they skim to what interests them. It’s different from a tutorial. Thanks and want to see what you’re creating! joan
